This world map shows where musicians usually perform whenever they announce a “world tour”, based on the map maker’s analysis of more than 300 concerts from over 200 singers and bands.
After listening to your favorite music through your preferred music player or app (such as Spotify), you pretty much want to see these singers perform live and up close.
But do you know which cities in the world they go to the most?
So, Where Do Musicians Go Live In The World?
The map shows that the yellow marks, which define the locations where these performers commonly go to, are prominent in North American and European locations.
Several locations in South America, Asia, and Australia are marked as well. Artists scarcely visit the African continent, however, with South Africa being the most visited there.
What Are The Cities Where They Go To The Most?
On the bottom left of the map, there is a chart that shows the cities in the world where musical acts perform the most.
At the top of the list is London, England, United Kingdom, with almost 600 concert dates recorded in the British capital.
Los Angeles, California in the United States is the second-most popular concert city in the list, which also makes it the most popular American concert tour area.
Completing the top 5 are Paris, France; New York City, New York, U.S.; and Tokyo, Japan, with the latter being the only Asian city in the top 20 concert cities.
Overall, nine cities in North America comprise the top 20 list (with all but one located in the U.S.), together with seven cities in Europe (including three British cities), three in Australia, and the aforementioned one Asian city of Tokyo, Japan.
