This map of Europe above shows the continent’s cycling routes, where those who regularly ride a bicycle for various purposes can safely enjoy their rides using the pathways that are created specifically for them.
Bicycles serve as a means of transportation for the daily lives of those who use them, whether it is for recreation or work. It can be seen on the map that there are sizeable bike paths throughout the continent, both on the mainland as well as the islands that are part of the wider continent.
Bicycle paths are aplenty around the countries of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and its neighboring countries in the southeast. They are, however, less common in countries like France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Ireland. In the case of the United Kingdom, its bike paths are seen more as a properly-distributed system of roads.
If you know how to ride a bicycle, and would prefer to use that instead of cars, this map proves that Europe is a bike-friendly continent, and welcomes you with open arms. Not only that, you’ll also get some fresh air and help save the environment in your own little way.
