This is a map of the United States depicting the states that have the most locations of a specific restaurant chain specializing in breakfast food.
California-based International House of Pancakes (IHOP, marked in blue) is the dominant breakfast chain in nearly two dozen U.S. states, including the District of Columbia. Their presence is mostly felt in the Mountain and Eastern states.
Fourteen states, mostly in the west, have the most Denny’s restaurants (red); this chain is based in South Carolina. Georgia’s very own Waffle House (yellow) has the most locations in twelve states, especially in the Southeastern states.
