This is a map of the United States. Each state is marked by the number of people who served in the U.S. Senate representing that state.
Kentucky is the state with the most U.S. senators. 79 people have served in the Senate representing the Bluegrass State. The state of Georgia comes in second, with 69 senators, and Tennessee third, with 68.
Owing to the fact that they are the latest states to join the Union, Alaska and Hawaii have the fewest senators. The Last Frontier State produced just eight senators, and the Aloha State only has seven senators.
There have been approximately 2,000 people who have served in the upper house of representatives.
