The state of Florida has the most Latin American ancestry, with six countries having a huge influence on Floridians. People from New Jersey with Latin American heritage owe them to three nations: Costa Rica, Peru, and Uruguay.
New Yorkers and Rhode Islanders who have Latin American roots receive them mostly from two nations each. The heritage of the region’s largest country, Brazil, is being carried over by Latin residents of Massachusetts.
